Evolve, Involve and Grow: Lead by Example #WomenEmpowerment

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

Mridula is the most beautiful example of how to make lemonade when life throws lemons at you. Her life has been a huge gamble so far but she has left no stone unturned to change her destiny. Right after her wedding got fixed to an apparently perfect match, it was discovered that her would-be-husband had a critical heart condition and he would not live long. At that moment, the young girl all of 21, in the final year of her graduation, was asked her decision by her parents who contemplated respectfully breaking the alliance, which was understood. But for the first time, this docile girl with almost no speech agreed to marry the same man accepting destiny’s challenge.

The sudden onslaught of such a truth would have shaken any woman but for Mridula it turned out to be the other way around. She made a man she barely knew a reason for her life. As her husband’s health deteriorated, stronger grew her determination to set things right. She was adamant on fixing up their screwed life and was not ready to give in to God’s wishes.

She stood like a firm rock in the multiple surgeries Anay went through without a single tear dropped and as a wall of support for her old aged in-laws. They also shifted him to another city for better treatment and though Anay loved her deeply, his patience often gave up which often came down on Mridula as a request to leave him. But she remained calm and strong. Gradually his health condition came in control though no guarantee could be given. He came back home and lived with utmost discipline.

In a fight against the destiny, Mridula took to higher education and accepted an assistant professorship in a local college. She learned driving and ensured she continued with regular checkups of Anay whose health dipped intermittently but by her pure love and his sheer determination he bounced back each time. Amidst all these struggles they were also blessed by two sweet children who now became the center of their world. She trained them too to take great care of their dad, exactly like she does. She still works very hard each day and prays for long each day.

It has been sixteen years of their happily wedded life and they still go strong. The only principle she lives by is living one day at a time. They make the most of each day as if there is no tomorrow and so all their todays are beautiful so far. Though the journey has always been tough, she has made it look like a cakewalk. She is an empowered woman who takes all the financial and emotional decisions of the family in consultation with her spouse and is evolving day by day. She connects with me online for her regular dose of moral boost. She was the first online enrolment in my academy after we met at an event and since then we have learned so much from each other.

I want each woman of India to evolve, involve and grow like Mridula and lead by example. Don’t let any untoward happening make you seek an avenue for your growth but do it to carve your identity and seek the purpose of your life. Need not wait for a hard-hitting incident to change you rather work today to fulfill your dreams like there is no tomorrow.
