Latest and trending fashion in wedding dresses

When it comes to weddings in Chennai, there are two topics that have the most buzz and discussions surrounding them. The first is the best wedding halls Chennai and the second is bridal wear. With these two elements dominating the wedding industry, I’ve observed that wedding attire for grooms is unfairly ignored. What most people don’t realise is that the field of Indian wedding dresses for grooms is as vast as brides.
From the style of the garment to the colour, from the texture to the attire, grooms-to-be can play around with a lot of things to find their kind of wedding attire. The debonair man only has to look as far as Ranveer Singh or the Bachchan duo to see the variety of options available in the market.
So, for all the men who are not afraid of making a statement on the D-day or try new things, here is my take on wedding attires.

1. A standout jacket for the win

As I flip through wedding photos, one aspect jumps out. Grooms are generally in a black, navy or, at the most, grey suits. The colour of the jackets is limited to these shades. Thankfully, there is a whole slew of other tones grooms can try. Pick hunter green if the wedding is in the winter to break the monotony or choose a pastel shade if the wedding is in the summer.
Colour is not the only choice; grooms can create a standout jacket by choosing a different type of fabric. Think linen for summers, and brocade and velvet for winters.

2. A dhoti kurta will always be best

I do not doubt that a conventional dhoti kurta will remain the ever-green look for Indian grooms. Somehow the classic appeal of the attire will never go out of vogue. It is not only an effortless attire to wear, but it also instantly makes the man appear like a groom.
For the gent, who wants to bring a little twist to the traditional garment, I recommend styling the kurta differently. Instead of the usual lighter colours, go for bold. Better yet, get the groomsmen to colour coordinate with the groom’s dhoti-kurta to create the most fantastic photos!
3. An embellished dupatta can do wonders

Who says that only brides can have outfits embellished six ways to Sunday? Grooms can bring jazz to their attire by completing their sherwani with an embellished stole. I think the trick is to go for elegant motifs that are lightly scattered across the dupatta and the groom will be ready to flaunt it!

4. A royal Jodhpuri style dress for the groom

Quite similar to sherwanis, Jodhpuris have riding pants as the bottom instead of a chudidar. The regal dress for the royals of Rajasthan, Jodhpuri is apt to wear for a wedding. The thigh-length coat gives a stylish look. The pants, tight at the calves and loose above the knees are very comfortable, especially when the groom has to sit cross-legged during the pheras.
To spruce up the dress, I advise adding an amazing Safaand a brooch to the coat. If a groom selects Jodhpuri for the reception or engagement, then go for lighter fabrics with subtle shading.

5. Ombre style is perfect for any groom attire

The trend of creating a colour gradient in the bride’s dress has become quite the norm by now. I feel it is high time grooms jump in on the style. Try a sherwani that slowly blends light shades into a darker tone for an elegant look.
By staying away from the usual, solid coloured kurta or sherwani, the groom can have stylish attire. The ombre style need not be limited to the wedding. A groom can rock it for any of the functions, particularly a day ceremony.
There are a number of trends grooms can utilise to bring a new flavour to their wedding attires. The ones I have listed above are just to give you a head start. The good news is that the fusion look, a combination of traditional and modern, is really popular right now. So, don’t limit the groom’s wedding dress to the basic styles, opt for something unique and outstanding.

I am proud of the way Sangeeta Boochra, Silver Centrre, the leading jewellery brand (now in Bengaluru) is contributing to Women Empowerment

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

I am an ardent jewellery lover and have a fetish for exquisite timeless traditional pieces. The one I choose to adorn speaks volumes about me and is symbolic of my carefully chosen style statement. I pick my jewellery based on my mood and precious and semi-precious stone studded in sterling silver appease my heart like nothing else. I also like the fusion designs where the contemporary merges with some exotic.

I have a crazy collection of some of the best pieces quite a few of which are from one of my most favourite Designer Sangeeta Boochra of Silver Centrre, Jaipur. They are the real pioneers of designer silver jewellery in India and are also responsible for putting it impressively on the global map. Their roots date back to 1897 and today they are the most well known and trusted brand amongst the Celebrities, Influencers , Stylists and the fashion addicts all over the globe. Being from Jaipur is it understood they bring great talent of the traditional experts behind the intricate, unique and adorable designs and I really love them all to the extent that every piece that I have bought for gifting, I have eventually ended up retaining it myself especially the jhumkees.

..And Voila! The great news is that this Global Jewellery Brand has just launched their new store in Bengaluru. Its opening was as humongous an event as the store itself. The place was studded with grandeur and ecstatic delight for the jewellery lovers who fell in love with the mesmerising designs as was evident from the smiles on their faces and the sheen on their temples. If you too want to pamper the fashionista in you and grab some of the finest pieces of designer jewellery, you may as well visit this store located on Kamaraj Road (image below).

Well, there is another reason I am a diehard fan of theirs and it undoubtedly is there worth emulating, functioning model. You will find it hard to believe that the designer Sangeeta Boochra herself visits the craftsman and artisans in their remotest village and recruits them to create masterpieces for her but the twist in the tale is that these artisans don’t have to travel to work to the 3 factories located in Jaipur, on the contrary, they are supplied raw materials in their homes, where the quality inspector validates their quality and the final products get picked from them.

This is ideal for the women residing in the villages who are gradually attaining economic independence through this. Isn’t it a real vital attempt in the right direction for Women Empowerment as financial independence lays the foundation for a person to be able to raise a voice against the oppression? Kudos to this thought process of the owners of the prestigious Silver Centrre chain.

Now I have double the reason to pick these gorgeous beauties from Sangeeta Boochra to my heart’s content. I have shared a lot of pictures of their designs suitable for both Indian and western wear, in this post. I am sure by now you too would have fallen in love with them as much as I had and Bengulurians you had all the reason to rejoice with this new store. What? You need address of the same. Here it is for you, go grab your favourite jewellery now ♥

5 Types of Dresses I absolutely Love to Flaunt

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
cheap bodycon dresses

If you know me, you know how my much I love to get decked up on all occasions no matter how big or small♥️. Otherwise a lethargic writer bundled up on a couch with her laptop...but my love for gorgeous outfits is incomparable.

What you may not know is, I am a very meticulous researcher of the best global trends and international online shopping hubs which provide nothing short of the best at a reasonable price.

Though I am mostly clad in western outfits as they seem to be my second skin, I equally love to adorn myself in traditional Indian attires provided they are designed impeccably but yes that’s rare. Short and fitting western clothes are my comfort wears and I love styling them multiple ways.

Thus, today I thought of sharing with you the 5 kinds of dresses I love to clad myself in any which day with utmost ease and enhanced glamour.

  1. Bodycon Dresses: The first and the foremost are short bodycon dresses that hug me like your second self and accentuate my feminism. Well, the color of the outfit plays a pivotal role, though I love bold colors but the flashy aren’t for me. I believe that, buying stylish outfits may not always drill a hole in your pocket, you can buy cheap bodycon dresses from where I buy them.
  2. Denims: When it’s not my day I make it mine by just wearing a denim with a white, black or red and all my greys vanish away. A good pair of denim jeans, a denim mini and a denim shorts are a must have for a girl no matter what shape and size you are. It is a trend that would never ditch you lovelies ðŸ˜Š.

  3. Shift Dresses: When I am in no mood for a makeup and accessories and want only my attire to do the trick and turn heads on I would normally flaunt short or long shift dresses in sunshine colors and leave the rest simple.

  4. Halter neck Solid tops: I like to flaunt a lot of halter neck tops in solid colors and pair them with printed bottoms. You can club them with shrugs or style them with designer crop tops too, to give yourself a new look.
    Fashionme
  5. An off shoulder or a cold shoulder dress: In recent times if there’s been a trend that has fascinated every single way of a woman’s dressing, it is the cold shoulder or off shoulder trend. I love to add lacey stuff to it to get a perfect diva look for may be a vacation or a date. It is an absolute must have for me and I have a lot of them in my closet already.

I am an online fashion freak and I often pick my outfits from Fashionme. What I love the most about them is for most of their outfits you have sizes S to 3XL so one doesn’t have to sulk because of this. In case you have a similar choice for your wardrobe their ongoing humongous sales might entice you. Check them out!

My Perennial Love Affair With High Heels

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
Where to buy best Block Heels

Even since I was tiny, I loved wearing heels .This was strange as my mum neither wore heels nor had any distant affinity to get on her toes to look a bit taller. But I loved them as much as I loved dressing up. Not because I any which way was aware or conscious that I was very short in height but because it completed my look and to this day my perennial love affair with donning the most hot and sizzling pair of heels continues, sometimes to an extent that I am recognized by my pair of heels.

It was decades later that I came to know the real reason of why I have embraced and adapted to wearing heels early on. It was perhaps because the man with whom I would walk my entire life is six feet three inches tall 😛.

Thus, I never have to really worry before falling in love with him and eventually marrying him 😊.

For my wedding too,  I got the most gorgeous pair of six inches high silver block heels matching with my wedding trousseau to enjoy the whole day’s fun and frolic and dancing without getting tired.

Yes, I admit I am more of a platform and block heels person for I equally love comfort which for me must accompany style and oomph. Whether to work or for a client meeting or for a date night I prefer flaunting white block heeled pumps a lot. They empower me with morn to night comfort styled to perfection!

When it comes to footwear fashion, I love to stay up-to-date with Global fashion trends and am always on a look out to add a new and unique pair which is in at the moment and thus have heaped up a priceless collection of heels for myself which I am so proud of. My husband and my friends call me crazy and mock that I keep my strong block heels ready to hit back strongly in case I smell a danger and I only smile back. Nothing on this earth can end my perennial love affair with high heels.

What are your footwear preferences ? Do you have a go to brand while purchasing shoes for you and your family?

Fashion Tips for a Thailand Trip ~ What and What not to Pack?

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

A hot destination like the exotic Thailand calls for the gorgeous us flaunting the best and thus what we choose to don there becomes extremely vital. Since most of the Indian women genetically don’t possess a beach body and may have other reservations to clad themselves in a bikini, in this special post for you, I bring you some fantastic options that would make you look equally desirable and hot that too with your existing wardrobe. In all the permutations and combinations that we do below we have to bear in mind that the climate is generally hot and humid at the beaches, so the lesser and lighter the better. Whether you are unwed, newly wed or a mommy traveling with kiddos all the below options are equally viable for all of you.

First and foremost dig out the oldest pair of Jeans from your wardrobe and chop it to your thais length. Design the cut to your choice, straight or wavy or uneven and leave them uncut that way with the strings or get them hemmed at the bottom whatever you feel suits your style the most. This along with 3-4 colourful comfy tops become your most useful garment when you hit the beaches and enter the waves quite deep.

Second pack a good jumpsuit and a swim suit with a netty translucent Kaptaan or a light Sarong, they are a must have for a Thai vacation and you can drape them in several ways according to your body type. They will help you both on the beaches as well in the pools of the resort you will put up in. Remember we love to flaunt a little and hide a little, that’s how most Indian women are...so clad in the above in whatever makes you feel more confident and happy inside. It is all that matters and nothing else. At least I firmly believe so, be comfortable in your skin and flaunt your curves.

Additionally, if you have any off shoulder or single shoulder old party gowns pull them out, get them chopped to above knee length or even shorter at a nearby tailor, get it dry cleaned and a stylish beachy outfit as good as new is ready.

You must know that sometimes the sand which gets inside our clothes can make you uncomfortable so it is always advisable to pack an extra pair of inner garments and a light shrug or sarong to drape above it, if the need be and you wish to change.

Remember,a
big put off that we often ignore is a clumsy set of inner wear popping from our trendy outfit. This is where I call you to invest. Pick at least a couple of sets of exotic stylish beach wears including the matching inner sets and don it with grace on your tanned body.

Also, what is most significant is to accessorise your look correct. Funky earrings, smart glares and nude makeup works best in such a vacation. Colourful and in trends, neck pieces and beaded bracelets often completes the look most impressively.

Do pack a shimmery LBD or red hot or pink short dress too for that special dance and date night but other than that stuffing your bag with load of clothes would serve no purpose.

This is all you need to bear in mind as you pack for a dream vacation to Thailand. With the above tips, Truly Yours Roma is sure you are set to rock your Thailand Trip :) Bon Voyage!

Truly Yours Roma brings to you Top 10 Lehenga Designs For All Occasions

Indian Bloggers

I am one person who undoubtedly  loves to weave style and oomph with comfort in the dresses I meticulously choose to flaunt. Though I am mostly donning the western outfits, I have a great fondness  for the traditional Indian attires particularly lehengas which I believe go quite well with all body types and also all occasions small or big.

That reminds me how I plan my outfits months in advance so that I don't have to compromise on my choice in a hustle later or burn a hole in my pocket by paying a hefty sum for the one I like because I was in a hurry, yes I always do. For e.g. Teej is approaching which is a fast in our clan for the long life of our husbands and I already have on my kind the kind of fusion dazzling lehenga I would love to clad myself in for this festival which falls in the month of August.

I personally prefer light weight A-line lehengas for they go well with my strong built and it goes without saying that I have my favorite shopping sites who never fail to amaze me with their mind-blowing range, for my lehenga preferences too vary with my mood from bright floral ones to sober indo-western fusions in fuchsias and greys and browns and they know how to appease my heart. Stepping into a gorgeous outfit on the special day obviously gives me such a kick and I know it's the same with all you fashionistas out there.

It's a further icing on the cake if I get it at an affordable rate without impacting my overall budget for the month. Plus planning it in advance gives me time to get it stitched at my boutique in the design I would choose for it because I generally buy them semi-stitched or unstitched which is the right thing to do always. I categorically advice this to my readers and my friends.
How about taking a peep today into how my real Favorite Lehenga Designs will look like. Below I present to you the Top Ten Lehengas that cater to the whole gamut of occasions all round the year and which I would love to have in my closet come what may. I also give each one a special name not only for fun but also because I mean it.

4. The Ultimate Desirable Bridal Lehenga : This exquisite marvel is for the special wedding day and the Karvachauths later to relive the most precious moments of one's life in it forever.

5. The Elegant All Festivals Lehenga : This Bhagalpuri Silk Designer Lehenga accentuates a woman's beauty several fold no matter what the occasion would be. This indeed is a lovely addition to one's wardrobe.

6. For that Very Special Day Designer Lehenga : How I love this symbol of sartorial excellence. An enigmatic combination, will keep this one ready for that special evening every gal waits for.

7. The Royal Must-have Lehenga : This feminine classic is a must have for you lovelies out there to bring out your girly heart and soul out in open. No doubt I love it.

8. The DIVA LOOK Lehenga : The Diva in me is pretty impressed by this masterpiece that fills you with so much oomph and confidence as you adorn it and it actually awakens the Diva in each one of us. Am ready to shed those extra pouds to own and flaunt this one (Grin!!)

9. The Pride of Womanhood Lehenga : This lehenga is a classic as it is a true symbol of a multi-tasking multi-talented woman who takes pride in herself and can carry the colourful attire with utmost grace.

10. Every Occasion Lehenga : A girl's closet isn't complete till she has a pretty pink for herself and can gift it to herself for no reason. This lehenga is one such gorgeous piece, it can make a normal day an occasion and turn heads and woo hearts.

Trust me it would have taken me weeks to curate this list had I not found them all and scores of others at one place called Craftsvilla, which is undeniably the most trusted online address for all my ethnic needs with thousands of options at any price that suits the pocket. Delve into their world, for all your ethnic cravings.

P.S. Truly Yours Roma OOTD Post with my Teej Lehenga from this awesome online fashion destination, shall be up soon.
