Researches on Endometriosis #ENDOCHAMPIONS

It is fairly surprising that despite Endometriosis being a life-disrupting disease and every one in ten women suffering from it, for most things when I try and surf for the most advanced research I mostly come across the fact that a lot more research is needed to establish such and such thing more concretely.

There are still speculations about the cause of endometriosis and while there are several theories on probable causes no one can say with certainty what is the real cause, it is said that further investigations need to be done on the same.

Similar is the situation for the treatment of endometriosis. Lately, I have read about Pelvic floor physical therapy for Endo, which is increasing in popularity among those with endometriosis. Research from a 2021 study found that regular pelvic floor physical therapy can help reduce endometriosis symptoms like painful sex and pelvic pain and improve pelvic relaxation in women with the condition.

But this is again on the comforting or suppressing the symptoms side what about eliminating the disease from the root. I mean people are talking about having developed the cancer treatment then why aren’t they able to find something for endometriosis.

I hate it when a hysterectomy is done on an endometriosis patient expecting that the endo pain will go away but it may or may not. How can we remove an organ from our body and disrupt its equilibrium without even being sure it will be useful?

In the dearth of evident research, people are also promoting cow urine syrup as a treatment for endometriosis, and while it sounds so gross I have no clue how genuine is this as a treatment.

Similarly, I heard from my Ayurvedic gynecologist that the latest research shows that endometriosis can also develop in brain cells. But on the web, I failed to get any related research papers, and am keen on knowing the Ayurvedic perspective.

To conclude though in this post I wanted to apprise you of the latest advancements in the field of endometriosis the more I researched, the more I realized there is a lot that still needs to be done in this field.

I wish and pray we get a solution to this menace soon and I will surely keep you posted on this.
