Fertility Issues Due to Endometriosis in India #ENDOCHAMPIONS

One of the major issues for a woman of reproductive age suffering from endometriosis is it can lead to infertility which can be a cause of great concern and vice versa. Sometimes the cause of infertility can be endometriosis too, just the symptoms are not that prominent.

As per research, women suffering from the first and second stages of endometriosis may conceive naturally if they are less than 35 years of age while women in the third and fourth stages and/or in their forties may require infertility treatments and IUI or IVF assistance depending upon certain tests they need to undergo.

Amazingly I was told by several doctors that conceive a second child and your symptoms will be relieved but amidst so much pain and mental trauma, it never seemed possible. However, later I came to know that the above is not true always and I thanked my instincts.

It is extremely vital to know that pregnancy does not cure endometriosis, but symptoms may improve obviously because you don't have periods during pregnancy. Hormone changes during pregnancy may also improve symptoms to a certain extent but some women continue to experience pain of varying degrees throughout their pregnancy. This can become a cause of feelings of worry and concern in a pregnant patient and his family so act wisely and take a call that suits you the most. A baby cannot be given birth as a treatment for chronic inflammation and chances are that the disease will come back after childbirth.

Another important point is sometimes laparoscopic or open surgeries are done to treat infertility based on the recommendations of the gynecologist. Born needs to conceive within 6 months of this surgery for best results and thus need to work very closely with your doctor so that your body is totally healed before it embarks on motherhood.

Ayurveda too helps in non-intrusive conceiving in endometriosis patients but I have come to know about it only recently. In my tomorrow’s post, I will talk at length about how Ayurveda can help in this regard and in endometriosis as a whole.
