Involvement of a Family Member in an Endometriosis Patient’s Life is Vital #ENDOCHAMPIONS

Hello everyone, today I want to touch upon a very significant yet often ignored aspect of the life of someone suffering from endometriosis. As we know endometriosis is known to be a lifelong disease( in general though Ayurveda does promise permanent relief) with unbearable pain for a prolonged period of time which leaves the patient feeling very fragile, tender, and vulnerable. I pool.

Based on personal experience I would say more than physical pain at one time mental trauma surpasses everything and one tends to feel depressed. As women, we tend to pick ourselves up for our family and work shedding a tear in silence because that is how in India we are conditioned. But honestly, we need a shoulder and support more than anyone else just to listen to us, just to divert us. The stress that the constant pain, bleeding,

Thus it is extremely vital for the parents, spouses, kids, friends, and other family members of an endo patient to be involved in her life and let her not feel lonely at any point in time. One has to be kind and overpatient towards her offering her support wherever the need be.

Sometimes we cannot even get out of bed to fill our hotel water bags which we can put on our hurting tummy or fetch the painkillers. This is where timely help and unconditional love of the family help us heal and be grateful for what we have. This gratitude and happiness leads to the release of happy hormones in our bodies and comforts us in our pain.

The touch of care or a warm hug that says you care can be magical to someone battling a chronic disease month on month. Give them your time if they can’t get out of bed please watch a movie with them tucked in bed to divert their attention from their pain. A hot chocolate cup served with love will work miracles too. Additionally if possible do accompany them to the doctor whenever possible.

Unfortunately, some families start frowning over the perennial unhealthy status of the woman at home whose endometriosis always keeps challenging her on the wrong occasions whether it is a trip or going out or even when she has to perform an important parental duty but she just can’t despite trying her best. Careless comments towards the one suffering at such junctures hurt them the most because they already feel guilty for no fault of theirs.

One must rather be kind and compassionate towards them and allow them to peacefully manage their symptoms as best as they can offering support on their worst days. This will keep their sanity alive as well as the atmosphere of the family pleasant and warm. This is the first requirement in being able to offer help to someone suffering from endometriosis. Listen to them share their struggle with the chronic pain which refuses to abandon them and then lift them up with your spirits, jokes, and right intention.
