eXtraordinary determination to find her love back #RomanticThriller #BlogchatterA2Z

Hello, this April I am weaving a Romantic thriller where Aaradhya is waiting for her love Shamit, who has vanished seven years ago. The story is being narrated by their best friend Riya. In case you missed the earlier chapters of this timeless love saga, 'I Live To Love you', you can read them here

Chapter 24

Aaradhya had a long night waiting in anticipation of what Adarsh would tell her about Shamit the next morn. She was overjoyed yet equally scared and nervous. Honestly, a million emotions clogged her heart. She decided to shut them off but was all the more overwhelmed. Her heart cried,

Oh Sham, where are you? I know you are there somewhere safe and sound, my heart tells me, otherwise it would have stopped beating long ago. I live to love you. I hope the love reaches you wherever you are at this moment, telling you to contact me back. What is stopping you? Please come back now your Radha isn’t able to take it anymore alone. Whatever it is, we will face it together. Your little Sharu awaits her daida too. Please please Sham, do give me a clue to find you, my love. Where are you hiding?

I am sure Shamit somewhere did hear her heart’s pain but why was he not replying.

Next morn Adarsh narrated to Sharu what exactly happened on the fateful day when they left the resort for the trek, with his head hanging low in shame. He could not even make eye contact with Aaru, who has always been so genuinely good to him. He confessed he had planned it in pure envy of not being able to have a perfect family like theirs. Having lost three of his unborn babies he was fragile and my inclination towards the three, much over and above him, further added fuel to the fire of his anger.

“On our trek, I had convinced Shamit after a lot of discussions, to play a prank on you all and hide. So we staged the entire disappearance. We threw his camera in the bushes and abandoned that route for one can be easily traced down there. I instead took Shamit outside Jim Corbett in the more dangerous deep jungles of the Nainital hills promising him that we will return by evening. He was game to the excitement and that made my job easier. My anguish blinded me and I closed my eyes to what was right and wrong.... Shamit had no clue of my intentions. I just waited for the right moment to arrive... and when we were on a dangerously high cliff I pushed him down with all my power.”

Adarsh started crying aloud as he said this, soaked in deep remorse.

“Forgive me Aaru, I didn’t know what I was doing. When I came back to my senses, repenting my immature act, I fled the scene and kept moving from one town to another in search of peace. But my heinous act haunted me. I thus attempted suicide not wanting to live. I don’t know what happened after that? All I remember is, when I started getting back my sanity, I found myself in the asylum and saw you all coming to tend me as I recovered slowly, with no clue of what happened in the intermediate years.

I always had a faint hope that Shamit got saved in the fall and would have reached you but when Riya asked me where was Shamit, I again wanted to end my life banging my head on the wall as hard I could.

I am not a pence worth your forgiveness but please forgive me Aaru, I was too blinded momentarily."

Adarsh wept and wept as he spoke and Aaradhya was dumbstruck to hear all of this. So far she did not believe Adarsh would be involved in her losing  Shamit.

She just stepped forward and slapped Adarsh as hard as she could.

“I will never forgive you Adarsh not until you help me get my Sham back.” She said.

Now, she knew where precisely to concentrate her search. She was sure she will now find Shamit at any cost. I loved her resolve. Her extraordinary determination has always been her superpower.
