Hello, this April I am weaving a Romantic thriller where Aaradhya is waiting for her love Shamit, who has vanished seven years ago. The story is being narrated by their best friend Riya. Incase you missed the earlier chapters of this timeless love saga, 'I Live To Love you', you can read them here, chapter1, Chapter2 ,Chapter3 ,Chapter4, Chapter5 , Chapter6Chapter7

and Chapter8

Chapter9

The wedding day had arrived and the traditional rituals had begun in Aaru’s house early morn at 4 a.m. when she was given rose petals bath. I had reached two days in advance and had been inseparable from my bestie ever since in the uncountable ceremonies which never seemed to end.

However, we did manage to go to our favorite places around the town for a while. Her happiness undoubtedly knew no bounds. She had been waiting for this day with bated breath. Her eyes twinkled with the dreams for the future.

Shamit and his family were staying at our place with my mom-dad. The rest of their guests would arrive during the day at the banquet Hall. Shamit flew down yesterday and it was an out-of-the-world feeling to meet him after what felt like ages. He slept in my room which I sacrificed for him and hadn’t got up yet.

Mom had sent tea for him so that I can go and wake him up.

Good morning Shamit! Get up it’s your D Day today...painter sahib.

I shook him hard,  grinning from cheek to cheek. After all, it was a significant day for me too, my two best pals would unite forever today and I was elated.

Yes madam Riya, as you say.

He tried to open his eyes with a lot of effort and mumbled.

I handed over the teacup to him.

Oh, thanks a lot, I just needed this at the moment. How’s Radha? I am not allowed to meet her until the wedding ceremony this evening and I am dying to see her..

He asked.

Radha! Ahaan! You gave her this special name. Have patience my dear, the longer the wait, the sweeter shall be the fruits.

I pulled his leg.

Allow me to talk to her at least...

Shamit picked up his cell and I am sure texted Aaru. I left the two lovebirds on either side of the phone alone.

The destined hour was finally there. It was a dream wedding. I couldn’t take my eyes off Aaru who looked the most gorgeous princess of the earth in her mauve attire and floral jewelry. Her pink lips bore a priceless smile and her prince charming looked no less a stunner walking towards her in a white sherwani for Varmaal Ceremony.

Aah! Finally, they could see each other. It felt it was a magnet that was pulling them near and they were magically brought close to put the garland around each other’s neck.

So, yeah now they officially belonged to each other. Their eyes were glued to each other as they communicated through their eyes. They were seeing each other after almost a year and felt a deep desire to give each other a tight hug, but they would have to wait a little more.

The customary blessings from the elders coupled with the photoshoot on the stage and of course, some crazy dancing on the DJ followed. Everyone was overjoyed and blessed the newlywed couple in abundance.

The Pheras and Vidai followed in the wee hours until the two lovebirds were brought to their beautifully decorated room.

Meri Jaan...Mujhe jaan na kaho meri jaan....

The soulful Hindi classic played on loop as planned by Shamit. He wanted to make the night most special and memorable for the love of his life. He has also saved the three magical words for this night but he wanted all of it to be spontaneous.

Moonlight seeped in from the window and fell on the bed where they sat. Aaradhya looked spell-bindingly adorable. Softly taking her face in his hands, Shamit had professed,

You are the most beautiful soul I have ever come across Radha. I am so blessed to have your unconditional love and support. You reside in my heart and my love for you is equally deep. I owe you my life, come what may.

Those were moments of pure innocent love reaching its culmination. Sham’s Radha was smiling and tears of happiness have welled up in her eyes.

There’s a surprise for you in my bag, Sham. A gift I have been weaving for you for years.

Aaradhya whispered, pointing to her bag kept on the sofa.

Let me get it for you!

She said getting down from the bed and heading towards it. Shamit followed her lady love like her silhouette.

Unzipping her bag she pulled out something very uniquely packed. She placed it in Shamit’s hand who opened it to find a pink notebook that contained his Radha’s Poetic Composition for his Sham, in her beautiful calligraphy.

Let’s read them in bed!

Said Shamit with a naughty smile as she lifted Aaru up in his arms and walked towards the bed. The next one hour was spent blissfully reading the love poems, chatting, kissing, and cuddling. It truly was the most beautiful night of their lives so far. They were weaving precious memories every moment and were starry-eyed.

Suddenly, Shamit felt uneasy and got up to grab a glass of water and dim the lights. The lights went off and she waited for him to crawl back on the bed but all she heard in the dark was a loud thud of something falling on the ground.

Shammmmmm!

She shouted on top of her voice and got up from the bed in shock.

Switching on the lights, she saw Shamit collapsed on the ground. She ran to him and tried to wake him up all in vain. She could not comprehend what had just happened....she was a doctor and knew something wasn’t really wrong(to be continued in the next chapter)...
