Fresh Start in Dehradoon #BlogchatterA2z #RomanticThriller

Hello, this April I am weaving a Romantic thriller where Aaradhya is waiting for her love Shamit, who has vanished seven years ago. The story is being narrated by their best friend Riya. Incase you missed the earlier chapters of this timeless love saga, I Live To Love you, you can read them here, chapter 1Chapter2  ,Chapter3 ,Chapter4 and Chapter5

Chapter6

The year of grind had just passed though it had only knitted Aaradhya and Shamit into a priceless bond which no words of the universe could describe.

If you are wanting to know how they professed their love to each other, I may disappoint you for a moment because they never actually did. But was there actually a need? Often words can’t do due justice to express our feelings for someone.. particularly this has always been the case with me.

Their love and care for each other were evident in each action. Though they were totally smitten by each other’s unparalleled charm, their focus was on their goals and they worked really hard to achieve them. They either studied at our place or in Shamit’s home and our parents could well very well sense a lot but they preferred to embrace silence. I hugely respect them for the trust they have always placed in us.

Well, the results were out and Aaradhya would surely get a medical college of her choice. A week later, Shamit had gone to check his results and Aaru had waited for him with bated breath. Every moment had felt like a million years. The news that Shamit will bring back would decide if they could stay together or had to bear the brunt of years of separation, to become something in life. Aaru felt her stomach grumble in anticipation. Did destiny ditch her or she was meant for a much bigger test later in life?

Well at the moment, it didn’t and Shamit’s results sealed their fates together for the coming years.

Radha! We are going to be in the same city now dear, got a call from a coveted Military Training Institute in Dehradoon.

He had run towards her and hugged her tight. They got so carried away not able to believe what has just happened..their hearts did a happy dance soaked in pure joy. This was their first embrace and that touch was so precious to the two of them.

I know it because I had read Aaru’s diary where she had penned her emotions at that moment. Also, that Shamit called her Radha as he was Sham, her Sham. It was when they went to watch a play together that these names stuck to them and they decided to call each other this way for the rest of their lives.

The plan to stay together was all chalked out much before I guess. Whichever place Shamit would get picked for training if he qualifies for Army, Aaru will opt for a good medical college nearby, so that they could meet as often as they can and by the grace of God their desire did come true then. Aaru did get to pick a worthy college for her M.B.B.S. in Dehradoon too. How lucky and destined it all seemed, it was as if the heavens had conspired to do every bit to unite the two forever.

They had to leave in a month’s time and aunt Neena and uncle Ree took Aaru home to Nainital before she could leave for Dehradoon. Dehradoon was indeed a welcome choice for them as it was only 6-7 hours away from Nainital in comparison to Pune which meant they could now meet their only daughter more often.

Shamit too was the only child and he tried to pour all his love on his mamma, the sweetest lady in the world before he headed out of her nest to the hostel life. He decided to take her to Nainital for a mini-vacations before all the parents could come with them to Dehradoon to drop them and complete the admission formalities.

My mom gave our Nainital home keys to Shamit and aunt Sandy wishing them a pleasant stay. I could not come back home this year so mom-dad too abandoned to go to Nainital this summer. All my other siblings too were too engrossed in their careers.

Aunt Neena welcomed Shamit and his mom with open arms as if they were their very own. What followed were some really worthy days together as a family there.

Aaradhya took Shamit to all her favorite places downtown Nainital. The cool breeze by the lake and the cold chocolate ice cream that she was eating turned her cheeks and lips further red.

This is Nainital, my Nainital, Sham. My soul lives here. If ever you lose me, this is one place you will always find me.

She said smilingly. Shamit nodded without lifting her eyes off her.

I will never lose you, Radha, nor would you lose me ever! I promise!

He gently placed his lips on her cheeks. In that serene atmosphere, their first kiss seemed so divine, so pristine.

That promise meant a lot to Aaru and till today she waits for Shamit seven years after he vanished in the most mysterious circumstances because her trust in him is infallible. She believes she has not lost him and he will keep his promise come what may. Her physical health has deteriorated but mentally she is still as hard as a rock.

But where really is Shamit? Nothing can make me believe he can remain away from Aaru for such a long period of time. These two had been practically inseparable for the longest time and now, it is really painful to witness Aaru's plight...
