5 Types of Dresses I absolutely Love to Flaunt

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
cheap bodycon dresses

If you know me, you know how my much I love to get decked up on all occasions no matter how big or small♥️. Otherwise a lethargic writer bundled up on a couch with her laptop...but my love for gorgeous outfits is incomparable.

What you may not know is, I am a very meticulous researcher of the best global trends and international online shopping hubs which provide nothing short of the best at a reasonable price.

Though I am mostly clad in western outfits as they seem to be my second skin, I equally love to adorn myself in traditional Indian attires provided they are designed impeccably but yes that’s rare. Short and fitting western clothes are my comfort wears and I love styling them multiple ways.

Thus, today I thought of sharing with you the 5 kinds of dresses I love to clad myself in any which day with utmost ease and enhanced glamour.

  1. Bodycon Dresses: The first and the foremost are short bodycon dresses that hug me like your second self and accentuate my feminism. Well, the color of the outfit plays a pivotal role, though I love bold colors but the flashy aren’t for me. I believe that, buying stylish outfits may not always drill a hole in your pocket, you can buy cheap bodycon dresses from where I buy them.
  2. Denims: When it’s not my day I make it mine by just wearing a denim with a white, black or red and all my greys vanish away. A good pair of denim jeans, a denim mini and a denim shorts are a must have for a girl no matter what shape and size you are. It is a trend that would never ditch you lovelies 😊

  3. Shift Dresses: When I am in no mood for a makeup and accessories and want only my attire to do the trick and turn heads on I would normally flaunt short or long shift dresses in sunshine colors and leave the rest simple.

  4. Halter neck Solid tops: I like to flaunt a lot of halter neck tops in solid colors and pair them with printed bottoms. You can club them with shrugs or style them with designer crop tops too, to give yourself a new look.
    Fashionme
  5. An off shoulder or a cold shoulder dress: In recent times if there’s been a trend that has fascinated every single way of a woman’s dressing, it is the cold shoulder or off shoulder trend. I love to add lacey stuff to it to get a perfect diva look for may be a vacation or a date. It is an absolute must have for me and I have a lot of them in my closet already.
    cold shoulder dresses
I am an online fashion freak and I often pick my outfits from Fashionme. What I love the most about them is for most of their outfits you have sizes S to 3XL so one doesn’t have to sulk because of this. In case you have a similar choice for your wardrobe their ongoing humongous sales might entice you. Check them out!

The Easiest Way to Book your Train Tickets

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

booking train tickets on Paytm
Rakshabandhan is my most favorite festival and that’s because this is the time of the year I get to see and celebrate with my only sibling, my little brother and we get to relive so many of our childhood memories like taking long train journeys during the summer vacations to mostly relatives’ places and sometimes for a holiday if dad got a LTC from bank. Yes, life was so simple yet so worthy and nice way back then.
This is perhaps from where my love for trains stems from. Yes, Railways is my most favourite mode of transport till today. I feel extremely comfortable and at home travelling with trains albeit they are clean but what I really dread today is standing in long queues to get the tickets done or let the travel agent dig a hole in my pocket. There sure has to be a respite.
In today’s world of Apps, for the past two years I have been using my Paytm Wallet for doing most of my work like paying my monthly utility bills like mobile bills, electricity bills, gas pipeline bills or making payments to the grocers or vegetable vendor or to order food and lately bank transactions too and have enjoyed the comfort or doing it all a finger’s touch… plus some icing on the cake cash back which had also made me a regular shopper from Paytm Mall. Now, you would be wondering why I am mentioning all of this here. Well, that’s because Paytm has eventually also solved my biggest worry to book my train tickets.
Just this week I was trying to reserve my tickets on a train to my brother’s place for Rakshabandhan when I first used Paytm App to reserve my train berths and voila it took me a straight 50 seconds to book my tickets. I have ensured that I had enough money in my wallet to make the smooth transaction for I knew the seats would be extremely limited due the maddening festival rush.
Let me quickly take you through all that I did to book my tickets. I opened the Paytm app on my phone and clicked on the ‘trains’ icon.

I was directed to a page where I entered the date of travel and the boarding and disembarking stations and clicked on search.
This opened the available trains on that route.

To check the availability for one week in any train I simply clicked on it and the rail fare too flashed there.

From here I choose my train and it guided me to enter my IRCTC login name which I did.

After which it simply made me enter the passenger details and click on proceed to book.

After that, it asked me to enter my IRCTC password.

Once done I made the payments from my wallet comfortably and my tickets were done.

Well, I realized the perks of making train reservations on Paytm app are umpteen. If the booking isn’t done you get the money back in your wallet in 15 minutes and you may proceed with a fresh booking immediately and in case you cancel it later you are refunded the same within 7-10 days all at the convenience of your finger tips.
Also, Paytm doesn’t levy any service charge on us for using this service. What more their 24X7 helpline no 9555395553 aids you in all your endeavors relating to booking a train ticket.
I am happy that now my Paytm app has become a one stop solution for all my money transactions needs including train tickets booking. I trust you would find it equally worthy.

5 Reasons Why You Can't Afford To Miss #WorldFamous #DolphinShow When in #Thailand

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
Dolphin Show in Thailand

It was last November and we were on our annual vacations in Thailand. This was not my first time here but yes a first with my family and hence it was special. Since all three of us are beach freaks our bucket list for this vacation comprised of all the serene islands and beaches where the two boys can let their hair down and have fun to their heart’s content whilst I have decided to play a cool wifey and mommy for the trip curled up on the beach pad with my kindle, occasionally soaking in water and then getting sun kissed.

We have also accordingly booked our resorts at different destinations to make the most of our holiday. One such lovely morn while scanning through the catalog of must do things in Phuket my eyes fell on the world famous Dolphin show the city hosted and the twinkle of extreme joy in my eyes made hubby dear immediately book it for the three of us. I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait for it.

The hotel has arranged for the transfers. There were three category of tickets based on which row you can sit and watch the acrobatics of the cutest creatures on earth. We had bought the first row premium tickets and were the closest to the huge water pond where the adorable dolphins will display their lovely skills which also meant our hearts were beating faster than normal as we can actually touch them. We will also given raincoats to wear whose vital purpose I understood a little later during the event.

#Worldfamous #dolphinshow

It was a two hour show and what came as a biggest surprise was that the dolphins Show was preceded by Seals’ Show and all four of them wee cutie pies. They danced and twirled in their masters’ tunes impeccably and spell blindingly. I guess I was the one who was shouting the loudest and the craziest out of excitement and my extreme happiness. They kind of read my love for them as one of the seals actually choose to kiss me while shaking hands and walking past all the guests and I with butterflies in my stomach caressed her back.

amazing #thailand

S captured the moment perfectly in the camera and trust me it is one of my most favorite pics of the lifetime. It is candid and reinforces my belief that every living being in this universe knows just one language and that is the language of love.

Well, my pleasure was only bound to grow from there as 5 pretty dolphins 🐬 came marching out and dashed into water to splash us wet with their jump. Thank God our raincoats were on. The next one hour was nothing short o
f a dream as the lovelies played multiple games, danced, did paintings, did unbelievable circus acrobatics and even came out to pose with us.

I loved touching the one which came near me and caressed it for a long while and also posed with it, I am forgetting her name pardon my diminishing memory but she was beautiful with her multiple linings of teeth glistening like pearls. While she seemed in no hurry to get back to water, S has to actually tuck me in his arms to take me back and let others enjoy a moment with them.

You can catch a glimpse of the show here.

A big salute to their trainers who have aided them master their craft and fondly kept feeding them small fishes as a mark of appreciation for whatever wonder they performed and mesmerised the house full crowd. It look me a long time to comprehend the fact that how artistically a Dolphin drew a heart with a paintbrush. It goes without saying that the drawing was auctioned for a hefty sum with my little one bidding till the end and only missing it by a whisker.

It was a day which is etched on my memory forever and those sweet memories only get sweeter with time and I would say it is something you can’t afford to miss when in Thailand. Whether or not you are a die heart animal lover like me or not, you must see it to believe it.

Yesterday as I was doing a project with the kiddo about how the plastics that is being trashed by us and which reaches the ocean is choking and suffocating marine animals to death in abundance, I realized and recalled how naive and precious these creatures are and thus have sworn not to use an iota a plastic. If each one of us brings up this vital change we sure can save our Mother Earth.

Well, this memoir of mine is a toast to those dolphins and seals of Thailand who forever will live in my heart.

New Age Parenting Mantra of 2018 ~ Empowering your child with 21st Century Skill Set

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
new age parenting

It is extremely heartening that with changing times and each passing day parenting too was evolved by leaps and bounds and parents today widely accept the fact that apart from academic excellence, the little precious pieces of our hearts must also be trained early on, on several vital 21st century skills like Public Speaking, Communication Skills, Problem Solving, Creative Arts, Collaboration etc.

This is in line with the fact that most Indians generally have an above average intellect but when it comes to expression they often fail to shun their inhibitions. This is exactly what was on my mind when I went full throttle in my academy aiding six to sixty year olds in bridging the gap between their intellect and expression.

The modus operandi is simple, access the gap between their current and desired skill set and design special modules specific to each one's needs and the earlier we are able to do this assessment the better it is. Courses such as Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Elocution, Grammar Grip etc hone their fundamentals impeccably and rid them of all fears and we know it because many of us still battle stage fear because we could not get rid of them in our earlier years.

afterschool program for kids

Another principle I live by in grooming the tiny tots both as a parent as well as a coach is that they their foundation is much stronger and deeper if the values or skills are embedded in their brains through multiple fun games in a pseudo stage setup on professional microphones rather than the monotonous study schedule. Thus, gradually, over a period of time through constant practice it becomes a habit for them, boosts their confidence several fold and shapes their over all personality.

Lately, I have joined Cedarwood Afterschool Program and I really value this association for our visions for the little angels are perfectly aligned and thus we together aim to expand our horizons through this collaboration and groom as many tiny buds bloom into wonderfully expressive flowers as possible.

I can't emphasize enough how vital these 21st Century skills are both as a teacher and as a parent. Cedarwood conducts a lot of first free trial classes for your peanuts, for different courses across different centers in Pune and other cities before enrolling them into their vivid gamut of courses. You can visit their website at Cedarwood.co.in and alternatively call them at 9595131000.

Truly Yours Roma is proud to be associated with Cedarwood Afterschool Program with the promise that we undoubtedly will leave no stone unturnd in adding great value to your little heart's skills.

Weekend Getaways near #Mumbai #Pune: 5 Reasons Why You Must Go on a Long Drive to #Lonavala ( #Travel #Tales of Truly Yours Roma)

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
Lonavala

I am a die-hard romantic and monsoon every year makes me freak out in utter delight. Especially the places around Mumbai-Pune come to life like never before as if God has just sprinkled the golden dust of lush green beauty to them and this beauty is only getting enhanced further by the constant drizzle. Oh! I love it, the smell of rains, getting soaked to skin and then savor a hot cup of coffee with something yum, listening to my favorite songs and life is heaven ♥️.

Monsoon is also the time I love to go on long drives to the weekend getaways near Pune and also Mumbai to make the most of the lovely weather. In this weekend getaways series I have already written to you about Lavasa, Diveagar, Kashid Beach in Alibagh and Imagica (check them out if you are planning a trip) and today I wish to share with you why you must not miss going on a long drive to Lonavala or for that matter any of the above weekend getaways, this rainy season.

First reason why I insist you drive down to Lonavala is the charm of the majestic mountains capped by lush green forests en route from where originate umpteen water falls making it a perfect picnic spot after every few hundred meters. Yes, you only have to see them to believe the marvel they transform into in the monsoons.

Two, around most of these waterfalls you will find a lip-smacking corn, bhajiya or a vada pav seller serving piping hot food in the cool weather, ready to serve you.Take frequent stops wherever you wish to, grab some tit-bits to eat and drink, let the cool breeze and drizzle caress your tresses and cheeks and soak yourself in mother nature’s utmost glory.

I know you have already started imagining it and I can relate to the feeling, the travel freak in me has it everyday!

Last Saturday we decided to drive down to Lonavala, enjoying Kamshet and Bhaje Waterfalls and Caves and it really turned out to be a super weekend. From Pune City they are around sixty kilometers but from Hinjewadi where I stay they were nearer. It was raining heavily throughout and while we enjoyed the long drive S had to drive very carefully (something we have to be very vigilant about in monsoons).

Three, if you love trekking this is the best time to enjoy and discover new places. Park your car suitably and take a short trek before continuing your journey. We three, me, S and little A climbed the high peak upwards towards the beautiful Bhaje falls, the one you can see in the background of our below pic though it was extremely slippery but reaching the top and clicking in the pure white streams of water gushing down thunderously gave us a different kind of high. It was a wonderful workout for that day.

Bhaje Waterfall

We sat in the waterfalls for sometime, water was cold but refreshing. However one needs to be very cautious at such places especially with small kids as the waterfall flows down with tremendous power, it almost took me away twice 😊. You may add the Bhaje/Bhaja caves nearby to your itinerary too, if you love historical places.

Lonavala Bhaje waterfalls

Four, you get some most gorgeous locations to capture in your camera if you are a photography wizard like me and yeah some priceless selfies too. This is probably to capture precious memories of a lifetime in your heart as well as your camera. A word of caution here, please either use water proof mobile phones or use them in waterproof covers so that water does not seeps in, I had to get my iPhone’s genuine parts replaced because I used it too liberally in water.

Travel Blogger

Fifth reason is Lonavala itself, which gives you plenty of places to visits like the Bhushi Dam, the Wax Museum, the Wet n Joy water park, Karla Caves etc. Lonavala is one such place where your destination is as lovely as the journey. If you wish to make a night stay, book your hotel/resort well in advance as monsoon in this small picturesque town are peak seasons, hence the prices are exorbitant and most good resorts are full in weekends. I am yet to try a Home-stay in Lonavala though, will add the #review here once I do. Otherwise, even a day trip can suffice the purpose, you can come back the same day, sip some hot beverage and doze off in your cozy bed after getting drenched in the rain multiple times during the day..getting your bed back is a heavenly feeling.

Sunny Da Dhabha and Tony da Dhabha are two great restaurants on this route, the Pune Mumbai Highway, where you get super yum food and can have some great family time with your loved ones.  I have eaten in both and can give them a straight nine on ten. Do remember to carry umbrellas and raincoats if you are not as wild as we are and would like to shower in rain and waterfalls. It is also advisable to keep a change for all of you in the car.

Do plan your next weekend, enjoy the long drive and unlimited weekend fun, monsoon is the time to hit it ♥️.

Truly Yours Roma sends loads of love your way to give you warmth during the cool monsoon!

#Review of #Movie #Soorma : Testimony of a Brother's Love to make his Sibling a Legend

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
Review of Movie Soorma

Over the years we have gradually graduated from the newly weds who every Friday flocked the theater to watch the first day first show of most movies, to considerate parents who wisely scrutinize what would be best for their nine year old's impressionable young mind and accordingly decide which movie to watch though on a broader spectrum we wish him to be exposed to everything. Nevertheless, movies based on sports or sports personalities are always the first choices of both the sports buff boys ~ daddy and sonny.

Thus, no points for guessing, as we packed our bags to a weekend getaway to have some monsoon nature fun, we decided to watch the movie, #Soorma on the way and it really turned out to be a very nice, clean and worth a watch movie. Pure unadulterated Bollywood flick with multiple emotions and every character, every relation beautifully and mostly positively weaved.

The film is based on the real life comeback story of hockey legend Sandeep Singh who gets paralyzed waist down when a bullet hits him accidentally in a train. Actor, singer Diljit Dosanjh I felt is the most befitting fit for the innocent Sardar that Sandeep Singh is from his childhood. That innocence was vital to be kept alive to justify the cuteness of the character and to keep the audience enthralled and enticed as he played class hockey for India and got the nickname 'Soorma'. Diljit no doubt was good as a vulnerable lover as well as an impulsive yet profound player.

But if you ask me what I loved most about the movie, it was a pure testimony of an elder brother's love who himself has trained for years to be in Indian Hockey Team when his younger brother opts out in childhood itself. Though he himself doesn't get picked up for the national squad, he goes out of the way in discovering and getting honed his brother's unique talent. Also, he stands like a wall for his brother in every single need of his and was a treat to watch. Angad Bedi you sure nailed this buddy and you remained my favorite for most of the film.

Tapsee Pannu played Sandeep Sharma's love interest and did a fair job as was envisioned for a character which narrates the tale in the movie. Vijay Raaz as Sandeep's Coach definitely deserves a mention for impeccably essaying any role that he is ever given to him...I really love them all. Every other character of the movie was wonderful and relatable.

What I also loved about the movie was that Shaad Ali has kept the biopic simple and straight from the heart and has steered clear of unnecessary bollywood drama and masala to it. Of course the hockey fans were left wanting to know more about the ace player's thought process and strategies when on field but for a commoner like me, the movie did the job and made my weekend pleasant.

Truly Yours Roma's verdict on this movie is no matter what is your favorite genre, this movie is a must one time watch for every Indian because it is not always about cricket. Hockey is our national sport and I wish and pray it reclaims its lost glory soon.

A huge round of applause for the Soorma Team ! I also wish more such movies are made are we inspire more and more children pick up sports and make themselves and their country proud :)

Kashmir, A Piece Of My Heart : A Travelogue, A Memoir, Straight From The Heart

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
Kashmir

I first went to Kashmir when I was in my tweens and was so enthralled by its unparalleled beauty that I left a piece of my heart there forever. It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen in my life and was ecstatic to witness this precious heaven on earth. I loved everything about it, the Dal Lake, the Shikaras, the Majestic Shalimar and Nishat Baghs, the floating market where I met a little boy probably six years old selling mesmerizing water lilies and who only knew three Hindi words - ‘ Ek Ka Do’.

Dal Lake

He was sailing a tiny wooden boat with loads of flowers and his image stayed with me for a long long time. Thus when I got married and ‘S’ asked me where would I like to go, I told him I wanted to stay in a houseboat in Srinagar. This was 2008 and I was once again here after about more than a decade but nothing has marred its pristine beauty. Though people’s souls were charred by multiple attacks of terrorism but their love for their primary source of income, that is we tourists, remained the same. They love you and take care of you like no one else.

I stayed in Latif Bhai and his wife’s houseboat, "Qutub Minar' and ten years later today I still remember them for how they took awesome care of us more like their own family. His wife waited for us to wake up in the morn and made fresh kahwa for us. She also cooked yummy Kashmiri delicacies to our taste in lunch and dinner piping hot, made and served with extreme love and finesse. Their artistic sense was revealed by the way they have done up their houseboat and it is by far my most memorable stay ever. They made us feel like a king and queen in palace and pampered us every bit.

In the nights Latif Bhai used to take us on a stroll in his shikara to witness the charming Dal lake glittering with the reflection of all the lights in water. It used to be biting cold and we sat cuddled in the blankets his wife used to give us before we started. I am yet to witness something as heart-warming and picturesque as this in my life.

He also arranged for our day trips to Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam etc. and we found our cab drivers equally affectionate and caring though each one had a heart wrenching tale to tell. I often chatted with them for long. While returning from one such trip, I saw a young lad selling flowers in his small boat in Dal Lake and I felt he is the same small boy I met when I came here with my parents. I bought flowers from him without fail, both times.

Every single part, every nook and corner of Kashmir was more beautiful than any words of the universe could describe but each day we were happy to return back to Latif Bhai and his wife as if our family was waiting for us for dinner. For several years he even called us and we had promised him to return and again stay in his houseboat.

We still often remember them fondly as I conceived little ‘A’ within a month of my return from Kashmir and we really plan to go to Latif Bhai’s houseboat one day with our little sunshine.

Latif Bhai with my husband

I almost reached them this summer when I went for a Vaishno Devi Trip followed by a wonderful vacation at Patni Top. It was an extended family trip with safety being the prime concern and it was decided that this side of Kashmir was a bit safer. My heart felt shattered that I missed the opportunity closely. Though Patni Top and adjacent Sanasar had the same air and were as pristine and adorable, they made me nostalgic of my earlier visits to Kashmir, which still occupy the softest corner of my heart.

It is difficult for me to explain my bond with it in words. It is a strange connection I feel to this place. My heart cries remembering all the people staying their have gone through especially hearing it from their own mouth. I have cried with them as they told me how all their children and spouse and parents were all killed in one go by terrorists posing as Indian army, there are some tales I don’t even have the guts to narrate hear. They don't really know now whom to trust. Nevertheless, they still have the heart to smile and welcome us with open arms though the tourism industry there is constantly diminishing.

I salute to their spirit and their love for their motherland. I wish and pray to the Almighty to please bless this most beautiful state of India with peace, forever and yes Latif Bhai I will surely come very soon and stay no where else but in your houseboat, I promise ♥️.
