The Last Love Note of 2017

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

My precious ones, I end this year with a heartfelt wish for each one of you from the bottom of my heart πŸ’“. May the year that comes along, brings much happiness and fun and remain in your heart forever like a song. I had to send this across to you no matter how things are(or probably it is inertia that is making it difficult to write with each passing day) and here I am😊.

After I penned my gratitude post on 1 Dec (Phew! I know that was too early...), I have been coughing my lungs out and am in and out of spells of repeated sickness and boredom of monotony. No this time I will not hide behind the veils of my lethargy for I know what all I miss in these spells when I am out of focus and activity and it is not ok to keep giving excuses. Though a couple of them are too genuine like I have lost my voice to the infection and could not record the very vital anecdotes from my two books for a significant project, I would have at least written when I had worked really hard on the roadmap for the same. My apologies to the dear ones involved and a promise to myself and all of you that I shall be more focused and professional in 2018, my only resolution this new year.

The silver lining of this December was some quiet quality time with family on wedding anniversary and at Panchgani on Christmas which lifted my spirits and brought back chunks of smiling me in bits and pieces. I have been writing to you on the weekend getaway series around Pune and Mumbai and shall surely add the review of Panchgani to the same quite soon. In a nutshell, it is a lovely lush green tiny hill station at a few hours drive from both Mumbai and Pune with a picturesque landscape and worth knowing history(well, will get to it later). But yes, the chilly fresh breeze there with clear bright winter sun rays kissed rainforest did do a lovely job in kicking me out of my self-imposed slumber and has already made me force myself to write to you before the year ends.

Another ritual( now over so many years I can safely call it that) that I fulfil with great devotion and sincerity before I close a year is my annual visit to Shirdi and I am so glad I am going there tomorrow. It is like going to my maayka (mom’s place) once a year where I speak my heart out to my lord for hours seeking his blessings and guidance and wander, yes literally wander aimlessly, in the streets of Shirdi sucking in the serene air. No words can aid me express, how calm I feel there and how my soul shuns all the dilemmas and embraces calmness in the soils of Shirdi...

I either pour my heart out so blatantly to Him or to you on my blog here, which is one of the most significant pieces of my heart and through it with you. No matter how less I write or am able to connect, due to my own weird writer’s instincts, you all will forever remain most precious to me. Closing this post with once again sending your way, the fondest best wishes for a fantabulous new yearπŸ’–

Press Release: The cause and rise of Zika Virus in India

Named after the Zika Forest in Uganda, Zika virus was first discovered in 1947. The first human cases of Zika were detected in the year 1952, since then, outbreaks of Zika have been reported in tropical Africa, Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia.

Zika virus in India was first found in Pune 64 years ago, as part of a survey that was testing immunity to Japanese and Russian varieties of a virus-borne brain infection called encephalitis.

The spread of Zika Virus

The virus is transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito, the same mosquito that transmits dengue and chikungunya. However, it can also be spread by humans, to humans, through intimate sexual contact. It is possible for a human who has been infected with the Zika virus to infect a mosquito that is not previously infected and the infected host.

How do you know it’s Zika Virus?

Now that’s a major question about how do you recognize it is Zika virus or dengue? The symptoms of Zika is usually mild lasting for several days to a week.

Many people might not even realise they have been infected, as the symptoms of Zika are similar to other viruses spread through mosquito bites, like dengue and chikungunya.

It is better to watch out for symptoms such as:

1.    Fever

2.    Rash

3.    Joint pain

4.    Conjunctivitis, or red eyes

5.    Muscle pain

6.    Headache

7.    Pain behind the eyes

8.    Vomiting

Prevention of the dangerous Zika Virus

As the old adage states ‘Prevention is the better than cure’, in the same way, for mosquito-borne diseases like Zika, prevention is the only cure.

One of the most important step to prevent Zika virus is to avoid getting bitten by mosquitos.

Here are some easy steps to prevent the disease:

1.Plan your trip

Always avoid travelling to places which had an outbreak of Zika virus. If you are pregnant, you should not travel to areas with risk of Zika.

2. Stay in well-conditioned place

Keep windows and doors shut and use air conditioning when possible. Use, install, or repair window and door screens.

3. Wear protective clothing

Always wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, socks and shoes. One of the simplest form to protect your family, your friends, and your community from Zika is to use mosquito-repellant like Good knight Fabric Roll-On as it is 100% natural and gives 8 hours-long protection.

4. Take preventive measures

Ensure you empty the water buckets, unused bottle, birdbaths as they could be breeding grounds for mosquitoes. One of the best ways to keep mosquitoes out of your homes is to use Good knight Activ+ System.

Avoid Zika virus with the best prevention of mosquito bites. It is always better to stay safe and sound by knowing the above mentioned ways to prevent the fatal zika virus.

To be able to Direction and Groom the Impressionable Tiny Minds Is Truly Divine Delight

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

I have been meeting a lot of tiny tots of all age groups these days as a part of the classes I conduct in my Academy and it indeed is such a pleasure being surrounded by them. Their innocent talks and never ending urge to question elates my heart beyond compare. They have made me such a happy soul, they give me much more than I give them. The way my excited bundles of wisdom flood my house with their giggles and cute competitive urges enlightens and brightens my day.

My students across the different batches have now become such vital pieces of my heart. I meticulously plan each module for them keeping in mind their interests and strengths and weaknesses and when their moms tell me how they love my class, I feel my hard work is rewarded.

The thing that amazes me the most is that how impressionable these tiny souls are. They pick the microphones and speak exactly like I do catching every tiny nuance for the fun game is named -closest to me(sometimes even including my scratching my nose). By the way, yes all my classes on nuances of public speaking and communication skills are based on fun games. That’s exactly from where an idea plummeted in my brain to infuse these young impressionable minds with some deep thoughts and values too by incorporating them in the scripts for their class. For e.g. I build their extempore theme around My Parents, My Divine Treasure so their Little hearts have embossed on it that their most precious treasure is their parents...

Today evening two of my 8 year old students are going to anchor the beginning of a Christmas Party of two hundred plus gathering. Another budding charismatic 9 year old writer has already began her blog and her stories are all set to hit the global audience. Her first published blogpost was hugely appreciated. Another 21 year old princess I groomed is on a success rampage with cracking all the job interviews she is appearing for as well as blogging her heart out blatantly as the unsaid and the unheard of from a twenty something...and the list goes on. No, I don’t intend to brag about it but yes these kids do swell my heart with pride.

Thus, to give them perfect grooming and nothing short of the best has now become a very important aim of my life and I wish to aid more and more children come out of their shell and be able to speak their mind and shine as intellectuals. A silent prayers goes up to he Almighty above to help me fulfil this endeavour of mine to the most fruitful extent possible.

Soulmates for Infinite Births

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

I feel beautiful outside
and I feel soft within
it is because your love makes me shine
and your caring heart caresses my soul

you are a magician
who wooed me with your goodness
your honest smile
casted a spell

and till today
after umpteen years of togetherness
I am still smitten
by your charm

you make moments special
by your presence
everyday is a celebration
in your arms

sometimes I smile to myself
thinking about you
one best thing I did in this lifetime
is falling in love with you

you are the twinkle of the eyes
you are the reason of my each smile
you are the soft feeling within me
you are the most precious piece of my heart

do I ever doubt
we are soulmates for infinite births
happy in our own tiny world
our desires end in each other’s arms

A Year of Perfect Beginnings 2017 Comes to a Fantastic End with this Special Announcement #GratitudePost

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

Winter chill has set in and the most beautiful set of mornings when I love soaking myself in sun are here. So I am doing exactly this plus my most favourite task of the universe - writing to you... and it suddenly dawns upon me that the year has almost come to a close and how I have been everywhere this year! It sets me thinking as I realise God has been really kind and I had made quite a few worthy beginnings this year. Life has always been a roller coaster for me and despite of always trying to put my best foot forward I have not always succeeded in all my endeavours which is fine for I have never brooded over them, rather have postponed them to more desirable dates. This is a trait I have inherited from my best friend, now my husband to wait for the right time for a particular thing to happen.

January began on a happy note as we eventually booked our dream home. It was quite a search and when it ticked off all the essentials on our list we invested all our hard earned money into it. Also, some of my works got published which kept me sane and elated.

February brought in an emotional high as I attended an Indiblogger Meet in Mumbai with an amazing set of fellow bloggers. It was overwhelming to be in this ocean of intellectuals each one of whom had volumes to share. The daylong event help me envisage a roadmap for myself and set up my goals in line with my vision. Thanks to hubby who drove me all the way from Pune to Mumbai and baby-sitted the kiddo.

March was a busy month of contemplation between planning and execution as I decided to venture fiction for the first time ever and a die-hard romantic that I am, it has to be nothing but a love story. As I juggled between little one’s birthday celebrations and exams, the characters of my first fiction novella took birth in the concealed layers of my mind. On the last day of March I decided to go public with it and signed up with AtoZ Challenge like I had done the previous year too. The idea was to write a chapter of the novella each day about a thousand words and get my readers and fellow bloggers verdict on a daily basis to aid me get a first hand feedback in the process of development of the chicklet romance. I knew this wasn’t the ideal way of doing it but I am this weird writer who always speaks and acts her own mind.

April came out 27 chapters of my first fiction novella(second book) and my impromptu decision turned out to be my best guiding light. The initial chapters got a wonderful response and I was flooded with comments and expectations and the connection my friends and readers felt with my characters. I was overwhelmed and decided to not abandon it at any cost though an accident in the kitchen left me with severe burns on my face and right arm. Though on antibiotics for a fortnight, I didn’t give up my schedule of writing every single day of the month for about an hour. Sometimes I didn’t get time for spell and grammar check but I forced myself to publish it under all costs. I meticulously revised those portions where my precious critics found the idea cliched. I have grown fonder of my characters with each passing day and they created a havoc in my mind until I brought them down on a paper. Thus April was a precious month which I passed home bound marking a new beginning ~ completed penning a fiction for the first time and voila I had the first draft of the manuscript ready.

May saw me doing umpteen revisions and proofreads of my second book titled ‘The Fragrance of True Love’. I proudly released in the esteemed Blogchatter e-book Carnival which published my second book for the second consecutive year. The same is available in soft form on Amazon and in Hardcopies on Pothi.

June saw me basking in the glory of the raving reviews the book got from the readers and fellow-bloggers on Goodreads, in their blogs and Amazon. Part of June passed in a flash traveling back to hometown and meeting family and friends.

July I dedicated back to my blog and penned some of the most thought provoking volumes of my favourite food for thought series that I started about a year back. I deliberately upped the quality of my work and was happy soaring to an indirank 80. Another first of 2017!

August brought alive another dream of mine. As I groomed the anchors for Ganpati processions, scripted their plays and gave voice over to the event, I realised I have so much to give to the coming generation and thus were sowed the seeds of this probably being the right time to start my own communication skills academy. I slept with the ideas for many nights and formed my notions. This month also marked the anniversary of my blog and I was gifted with a million hits by my readers, which left me ecstatic.

#AdvanceBirthdayGift #GratitudePostπŸ™ˆπŸ˜Š By nature I am a recluse and a rebel but my opinion comes strongly to me. Routine and mediocrity subjects me to boredom and while I challenge myself to new goals always to keep the zeal alive, at any point of time, I have to speak my mind which I blatantly do on my blog ~ Truly Yours Roma. Yes, the very space that you are reading now and because I love speaking about everything under the sun, it is a diverse multi-niche blog. Three years ago, when I began this enriching journey professionally, every one recommended that I should carve out my identity in a particular niche because that gives a more dedicated readership and multiple awards but the rebel in me did quite the otherwise, like always. Phew! This was because I primarily wrote to satiate my own heart and that's why my writings resonated with your hearts too. There were always quite a few straight from the heart musings to touch and tinkle umpteen hearts and stay in them forever which I penned with a lot of love. I am so glad you received the same with equal love too and that's when our eternal love affair began irrespective on what subject our hearts chose to connect. Thus, today I reach the coveted milestone of crossing 1 million footprints (page views) on my blog and this is truly gratifying. Thank you so much my friends, fellow bloggers and my precious readers. There can't be a better advance birthday gift you would have given me and all the words of the universe put together will fail me to express my gratitude to you. Thank you for stopping by, reading me, appreciating me and keeping me on my toes to serve you nothing less than the best. Yes, in September I started ‘Roma’s Communication Academy’ at a small scale though from my home. The idea was to groom as many kids as possible in minimum resources possible and yes the batches all run full and I am developing a lot of modules for them each day. It is such a pleasure being in the company of these young impressionable minds and I am totally enthralled by the experience.

October was my birthday month and as always the best time of the year for me. Was conferred with loads of surprises from hubby (including a vacation in Thailand for the coming month) and my beloved friends. I was home for Diwali and thereafter enjoyed doing some wonderful assignments on my blog like that of some exotic collections by Caratlane.

In November, we commenced our world tour together with the Thailand trip. Yes, after having been to like more than 22 countries and something similar for the husband, this was the first time we have been together.... and my what a trip it was. You can read more about it here. Well, I am still tanned and thus the imprints of how incredible the fun-filled vacation was are still etched(phew!!) all over my body❤️.

Aah and so December is here and I am excited because I have been selected to be a part of the dream campaign of Blogchatter this year popularly known as #BlogchatterChatterProjects where in I shall be bringing to you some heart-touching trinkets from both my books, #DareToDefyTheDestiny and #TheFragranceofTrueLove to touch and tinkle your souls and stay in your heart forever and if you wish to read them full, they would be available at heavily discounted Prices. For the first time you will not only be reading me, but also hear my journey and book reads straight from the horse' s mouth along with loads of other surprises (This was the special announcement, the title talks of!).

So this was Year 2017 for me marking Perfect beginnings from start till end and these beginnings would have had no meaning without all of yours support. So please accept this article as an earnest, most sincere note of gratitude to all of you!
To each one of you, #TrulyYoursRoma takes a bowπŸ™Œ!!
