Is a person whom you know and talk to for years your friend
Or who knows you inside out but hardly has time for you, the one
Not blaming anyone but hinting at another kind of friendship here
That in my life I have always cherished
It is a friendship with a stranger
Someone whom you just know exists in the universe
With whom you have hardly interacted
But have felt a warmth whenever you have crossed paths
In my life, I am blessed to get immense love from the unknown
Every time I feel I am sinking
Someone leaves unconditional love in my inbox
And lifts me up in a truly magical sense
That’s what happened yesterday
I was lethargic and disoriented early morn due to lack of sleep
Reluctantly I checked on my phone
Only to see a couple of voice messages
From a fellow blogger I have often admired while scrolling through my feed
She has left such kind warm words
Pure love just oozed out of what I repeatedly heard
She has kept me in her thoughts
From the time I had my last surgery years back
Her wishes meant the world to me
They gave my heart unparalleled joy
She might be a stranger but a dear friend
I believe in the most true sense
With a heart of gold
With lots of love for someone she had hardly known
Thus I had penned this special thank you note for her
To let her know, I will not always hold her closest to my heart
