Friendship is the Deepest Form of Love

Continued from Part1,  2, 3,4 and 5 here.

Aah Pune, the name itself brings back priceless memories of when I walked in here for the first time as a twenty year old. I and S came here in the third year of our engineering for the mandatory industrial training in Cummins and we stayed in Kothrud in different P.G.s. Our deep friendship was gradually culminating and love was giving first knock at our hearts ♥️ oblivious of which we enjoyed each other’s warm company, long strolls in the mesmerising drizzle and the kacchi dhabeli which was all we could afford from our pocket money😃.

How pure love was in those days, our hands have touched for the first time when we have hesitantly taken our first ever day trip to Lonavala from Pune and trust me I can still feel the sensation of the touch☺️. Pune had beautiful weather, warm, loving and simple people without an iota of pomp and show which made me fall in love with this wonderful city only to come back here and settle forever (at least as of now).

Pune is also very special because during our month long stay here then we weaved many beautiful dreams of our lives together here. We were soon going to be in our final year and the pressure of the roadmap ahead was humungous. Our unexpressed love chose many indirect ways to say why not we stay forever together but the ifs and buts at that juncture were far too many. Not only were we chalk and cheese so were our backgrounds. Actually I can’t even recall if we knew if this was love. We were the bestest friends whose day began together and ended together. Sometimes I feel friendship is the deepest form of love...wonder why people say friendship is ruined when love sets in.

I still value his friendship more than his love and turn to him for discussing every matter small or big even if he pulls my leg over it. We still sit on a beach, discussing gals and cracking jokes. I fight with him, I nag him and then go back and hug him.

Way back then, the beauty of our relation lied in the fact that it was never expressed or summed up in words, it had no boundaries. I was not at all ready for a relationship and had no faith in the institution of marriage. S knew it all, he was, is and always will be my best friend. I have heard people telling him that he is very lucky but the fact is I am luckier to have him or rather the luckiest. He has taught me how to be happy and chirpy always, the world is not interested in your pains, bury them deep and smile as wide as river Nile.

So yes finally life came full circle and we are in Pune. S works here. I have my Academy here. We have our house here and yes we have fulfilled one of our dreams to quite an extent♥️, Pune you will always remain special. Part7
