There is one person who will always have your back

 

It is a while since I composed for you my child 

And today somehow I felt let me do what I love the most once again,  for you, my star-bright 

I want to wish you a happy children’s day

Because to me you will always be my baby 

But I am somehow unable to hide my pride 

Into what a suave young man you have grown up into full of intellect and grace 

There are so many things I wish to tell you as you embrace all the wisdom of the world 

The foremost being you will forever remain the best gift to me from the heavens above 

I love you a zillion times to the moon and back my precious boy

Every time you smile my heart still skips a beat and how 

Honestly, I have never known this form of love 

Until I had you and you changed my world 

When I first held you in my arms and kissed your forehead

I think that moment to date me is most priceless 

You gave me the world’s best title of being your mom

And then for so many years, I was just your best friend 

Listening to every single tiny detail from you when you were away

My world was soaked in your beautiful small and big tales 

Now you are a teen, I wish I had still remained your bestie, and you shared your heart with me 

Understandably, you may choose it or choose otherwise 

But whatever I do in my life is with your best interest in mind 

It is as if my goal is that you be happy and settled in life 

With a beautiful family by your side 

After all, you are my heart beating outside 

How can you deserve anything less than the best 

Who has always been the hardest-working and well-behaved boy 

You know, I was ecstatic that you won a debate 

Or went to a summer school or a trip with your friends 

When I look out for you, it is pure love, beta 

And it is never to embarrass you, but to guide you 

Because I know I am the mom of the brightest star 

And no matter what you decide to do in life, there is one person who will always have your back 

You know I count each day before you leave our nest 

Because I know the sky is your limit 

You are ready, my little wonder

And I am the proudest and the happiest 

You are very capable and gifted, my boy 

Work really hard to prove your worth 

It is time your goals and plans get in place 

Leave no stone unturned and achieve your dreams

For everything else, Mamma is there 

Whenever you turn back, I will be there 

Forever and ever and ever 

On earth and later from the heavens above!
