Our habits indeed define our life, they determine how long we will live a healthy and happy life sans all stress. Still, we often feel entrapped in our old sometimes not-so-good habits and despite wanting to change them, we just keep getting back to our own old self. Sometimes we get so complacent that even if we know we have an unhealthy habit still it is so strongly engrained in our brains that we fail to change it. What if we have a resource that helps us do exactly this. Well, today I will share with you a recommendation for a self-help book that aids us to build worthy habits smoothly for our betterment.

My Take on the Book


First things first, the seven tiny habits recommended by the author in this book as standalone chapters, struck a chord deeply. Somehow, as I gradually devoured this book, I realized a lot of changes I have always wanted to bring into my lifestyle, but never really thought of the practical techniques to sustain them impeccably in the long run. This book gave me these techniques in the most simple yet impactful way. 


I am glad the book is not preachy and is written anecdotally which keeps the reader engaged as we can relate to the real-life examples. These 7 habits if nurtured properly can be instrumental in providing a strong foundation for a happy and fit life. You may know all of these habits and even if you already have them it will still enrich you to better them as you become aware of the multiple benefits they have stored in them for you. Even the pro tip at the end holds so much meaning. 


The book inspires us for all right reasons like the importance of getting up early at 5:30a.m. or of journaling, of mindfulness, of letting go, and several other valuable habits, discussing at length the methodologies and benefits of each. I have personally followed these habits for years before falling prey to my ill health and hence I can vouch for the author’s recommendations with immense conviction. Today I am glad I am back on track.

The book cover does justice to the genre in which the book is written, for anyone looking for a self-help book to build strong worthwhile habits, this is what he or she must immediately pick.


The writing style is crisp with no unnecessary dragging of sub-topics. More is conveyed in fewer words as simply as possible so that the maximum number of people can reap the advantages of the author’s experiences in life. The book is also thoroughly edited and seamlessly flows from one chapter to another.
