Soul Satiating Eureka ~ Travel








Continued from the series 'Some Extraordinary Slices of My Ordinary Life' Part1,  2, 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8 , 9 ,10, 11,12, 13 , 14, 15 , 16 ,17 and 18

I have found a Eureka, a one stop solution to all my problems and woes! Yeah, I just need a quickie of it and all my sulking and withdrawal to my shell, vanishes over just a couple of days. It casts a magical spell on me and all of a sudden my brooding soul finds a new rhythm and is all set to hit back in its full vigour. It’s the only thing I never say no to even if you ask me in my sleep that we are embarking on it next morn at 5😉. Yes, I have realised long ago this eureka for me is travel. I am a born traveller and have known no other hobby other than this ever since God sent me on earth. No, hobby isn’t an appropriate word, travel means much more to me, indeed.

My life divides into two equal halves, one when I am back from a vacation and am all smiles to myself dwelling in the sweet memories of the wonderful time just spent and the second when my next vacation is scheduled and I am busy planning the nitty-gritties of the forthcoming trip♥️. I may sound like a paranoid when I admit I plan my trips to the tee, sometimes to the extent of overdoing it. Right from the outfits, accessories and first aid and medicines kit, I have it all. I feel strongly equipped if I have everything with me in a new land and like to devote all my time only in exploring and rejuvenating. My blogger buddy Shilpa Garg is weaving a wonderful series this month on all the essentials of travel and there are a lot of takeaways from it too.

I love both mountains as well as beaches equally no matter whether they are located within India or abroad. The man made boundaries stand nowhere in front of mother nature’s marvels, I love to capture in my heart and soul and yes also in my lens sometimes if I am not bubbling with energy to take to waters or dip myself profusely in the local culture, depending grossly on my mood. The saying that when in Rome act like Romans suits Truly Yours Roma the most. I like tasting their food, trying their traditional outfits and engaging in long conversations. I have always admitted to having this special love for strangers, the fine imprints of whose wisdom, often remain etched on my memory for a long time.

I admit these vacations are utmost fun thanks to my two partners in crime ~ the two men in my life who love traveling as much as I do. While the elder one adds a pinch of romance to the lovely vacations, the little one adds the bubbling effect with his innocence to make us the awesome threesome always on the wheels...and what do I do, you forgot.. indulge in my favourite pass time - thinking. Sometimes., I feel I think more than a normal human being but I get a lot of wonderful ideas either on a vacation or in restrooms(Phew!). You bet I am normal.

(In a beautiful beach resort called Bay15 located on Odxel Beach, Goa, just a few weeks back, I conceived the first thoughts of my next fictional series coming up shortly on Truly Yours Roma. It will be called ADT ~ Aditi’s Delightful Tales ♥️. Now, why did I declare it here? That’s because my head automatically registers I am serious about something only when I announce it to you all😊)

On another serious note, travel is not only the breeze of fresh air in our lives but it on the whole leaves us more enriched, a little wiser and with a deep sinking realisation of how wonderful and precious life is to each one of us. We can spend it cribbing over our pains or keep forgetting the bad and weave all the happier moments as sweet memories to aid us sail through the tougher times. The choice is always ours, what we make out of our lives and can in no way blame others for it. With time sadness will start eluding us for it realises we have no room for it and only wish to be happy and smiling always.

I would like to end this little piece by sharing my plan of going on a world tour with S, my travel goals, you see. I have already handed over my bucket list to him and poor chap is working hard on it. Of course the liberal me has given him the liberty to have it either in one go or in parts. What else can one ask for, I am such a kind hearted spouse😀, aren't I?
