Women Empowerment is a cause closest to my heart. For the last seven years, I have been writing consistently about it on my blog and my fourth published book too is on this subject. My heart swells with pride whenever I watch successful women like Mary Kom, Mithali Raj, Arunima Sinha, Saina Nehwal and Hima Das who have proved their mettle in their respective fields. Whether in real or in reel life, strong women characters and women-centric subjects inspire me the most and I have time to share them with you all too. I believe women-empowering content in such a need of the hour with crimes against women only multiplying at a petrifying rate. Thus today, I wish to share about an upcoming women-centric series called CHURAILS on ZEE5 whose subject has intrigued me beyond comparison. It’s a ‘First Zindagi Original’ for the diverse ZEE5 Global, which releases on 11th August and now let’s talk about why you can’t afford to miss watching this ten episodes, fifty-five minutes each, series.
Compelling Concept
CHURAILS is a scintillating drama, lead by four female protagonists who come from diverse walks of life. The ‘all-women team’ runs quite a unique and for a purpose detective agency in Karachi. This agency is instrumental in exposing cheating husbands. They also work towards saving women from the clutches of men who are abusing or mistreating them. I am so glad that the series will touch upon vital subjects of patriarchy, exploitation, child abuse and racial discrimination which are unfortunately still existent in our society.
Incredible women-centric content
The trailer of the show got me hooked so much so that I am going to binge-watch it on the first day of its release. You can watch the trailer here. The content looks so riveting and thought-provoking. I need to watch how a lawyer, a wedding planner, a boxer and a murderer work towards building an army of women through their spy agency. True, together they work wonders, though the journey undoubtedly would have been an uphill task. How they overcome a million obstacles and expose the harsh reality of society is something why I would not like to miss this ZEE5 Global launch.
Redefining the prejudice of the society about women and their freedom
Traditionally, women have always been considered the weaker sex and it’s high time to break the myth now. They are in fact the mentally stronger ones. Have you seen the protagonists of the movies, Lipstick under my Burkha, Angry Indian Goddesses, Parched, Veere di Wedding and Fire who predominantly represent the Incredible Girl Power? If not you must along with CHURAILS for they are the best eye-openers for the world around us, to start honoring a woman’s freedom as her birthright.
Get inspired and spread the message
This series has come up with an incredible, inspiring us to break stereotypes and stand up for our own rights as well as of the women surrounding us. The way the women from different walks of life team up to expose their unfaithful husbands in CHURAILS is a rightful example of it. The fact that they don’t stop there and help others in getting justice is something that shall leave all women inspired. If standing up against the wrong and yearning hard for my rights, calls for becoming a CHURAIL, then yes #MainCHURAILHoon and rightly so.
I believe such meaningful content should be created more and more and spread as much as we can to make our society a more gender-equal and tolerant place for everyone to coexist with mutual love and respect.
